International sourcing & partnerships

We are looking for suppliers

Darwish Construction & Finishing is interested in identifying and evaluating suppliers, manufacturers and solutions across the categories below. If you make or distribute any of them, this page is addressed to you.

Sourcing interests

What we are looking to evaluate

These are categories we want to find good suppliers in — for our own projects and for supply to our clients. They describe what we are looking for, not what we already have and not what we make.

Paints and coatings

Interior and exterior paint systems, primers, base coats, and protective or performance coatings.

Decorative finishing materials

Textured, patterned and specialist decorative treatments for wall and ceiling surfaces.

Interior finishing products

Products used to complete an interior surface, and the preparation materials beneath them.

Wall systems and panels

Wall panelling, cladding and lining systems for interiors, with their fixings and detailing.

Flooring products

Floor finishes, and the levelling compounds and adhesives that go under them.

Insulation materials

Thermal and acoustic insulation, and the products that integrate it with the finish above.

Construction chemicals

Admixtures, adhesives, sealants, waterproofing and repair products.

Professional construction tools

Tools for construction trades, at a quality that survives daily site use.

Execution equipment

Site equipment used in carrying out construction and finishing works.

Finishing tools

Application, spray, mixing and surface-preparation tools used by finishing crews.

Building materials

General materials used in construction and fit-out, where quality, availability or price improves on what we currently source.

Innovative construction products

Products that do something existing ones do not, in a way that changes how the work gets done.

Construction technology

Technology with a practical bearing on execution or finishing quality. Tell us what it does and what it replaces.

Energy-efficient building solutions

Products and systems that reduce a building's energy demand and suit the way we build.

These are sourcing interests. They are categories Darwish Construction & Finishing wants to evaluate. They are not products manufactured by the company, and listing a category here does not mean a supplier relationship exists in it.

What we look for

How we would assess a product

The criteria a product would be judged against. Which apply, and in what order, depends on the product and the requirement it is being considered for.

  • Technical suitability — composition, substrate requirements, and compatibility with what sits under and over it
  • Product quality — consistency, finish and how it holds up
  • Performance — behaviour in the conditions the product would actually face
  • Application requirements — tools, conditions, coverage and what a crew needs to get it right
  • Samples — what it looks like and how it handles on the surfaces we work on
  • Commercial terms — price, minimum order and payment terms
  • Shipping feasibility — whether it can reach Egypt on a workable timescale, and the export documentation involved
  • Availability — lead time, and whether supply is steady enough to specify against
  • Compatibility with Egyptian construction conditions — climate, substrates, and the labour available on site
  • Suitability for future company requirements — whether it fits the kind of work we expect to be doing

What we can offer a supplier

Why talk to us

  • We specify as well as install. A product we adopt can go into finish schedules, not just onto one job.
  • Feedback from application. You would hear how the product performed when it went on, not only whether it sold.
  • We think in systems. A product gets assessed with the primer and topcoat it is designed to work with, rather than blamed for a substrate failure.
  • Direct conversations. Enquiries reach people who can act on them.
  • Local context. What survives an Egyptian summer, what site labour will apply correctly, and what the market will pay.

Send us this

  • What you manufacture or distribute
  • Technical data sheets in English
  • Whether you ship to Egypt, and on what terms
  • Minimum order quantity and typical lead time
  • Whether you already have representation in this market
  • Whether samples can be sent for assessment
Supplier enquiry

Being straight about where we are

We do not claim an established international sourcing network, and we will not describe a supplier as a partner before an agreement exists. What we have is genuine buying interest, projects to assess products on, and an intention to build supply relationships that last longer than one order.

If a distribution or representation arrangement makes commercial sense for both sides, we are open to discussing it on that basis.

Meeting in person

Industry events are part of this

Darwish Construction & Finishing is developing its international sourcing and industry-networking activity through relevant construction, finishing and materials events. Assessing a product goes faster across a table with a sample in hand.

Enquiries in English are welcome, and we are happy to work from your technical documentation in its original form where an English data sheet is not available.

Tell us what you are building

Send the scope, the drawings, or just the question. We will tell you what we can execute, what we would supply, and what we would need from you to price it.
